This could possibly be the second biggest sales mistake I've made in the last 10 years
putting the 67 up for sale :?
after realising I have too many cars & vans I am making a serious effort to get down to two
and start to fully appreciate my cars all over again.
I will be putting them all up for sale at some point over the next few weeks and sit back and see what happens , see what sells and what doesn't

after several long chats with a few VW and van experts they came up with a price for me on the 67 Devon , that figure being £15K which is what I shall start off by asking.
they all seem to think it is a realistic price even in this current climate , lets see

a few details
1967 VW Bay window Devon Tintop 2 berth
born on the 22 -09 - 1967 , left the factory 27 - 09 - 1967
registered in the UK on the 14 - 12 - 1967
I belive I am the 4th owner
just clocked up 76100 miles
MOT'd April 19th 2009 ( no advisories )
tax exempt , runs with a DEC '67 tax disc in the window for a bit of fun
excellent tyres
bodywork & paint quite superb but not concours ( but could be easily made to be )
underside is rock solid , has had a couple of minor repairs in the past, I do mean minor

the interior , well this is the main selling feature , needs to be seen to be fully appreciated
but a few pics will help you decide for yourselves
just had a photo shoot for Camper & Bus magazine , which is currently on hold at my request

well thats a few pics to be going on with

one question which I'm sure a few people will want to ask , is the price negotiable
yes of course it is , within reason
will I p / ex , NO ..................... unless it's a 8) Hot Rod then I might think about it

if you want any more details give me a call over the weekend
0161 - 432 - 9733

thanks for looking

Spanking van Ernie.....

You must be very sad to let that one go.

Good luck with the sale though, that will make someone a very happy bunny.... :D :D

Carole

thanks for that Carole,

to be perfectly honest I'm secretly hoping it doesn't sell and then I'll just have to keep it

but I promised Liz I would put all 5 cars / vans up for sale and see what sold first and that's what I have done , then just keep 2 .
The Beetle cabrio is definetly staying for now unless someone makes a really daft offer

might have someone coming to look at the crewcab tomorrow

I've got the big yellow beast booked in for the American car show at Tatton Park in July
I think I am going to loose quite a bit on that impulsive buy  but I still love the bloody thing , I suppose I could always get another job  nah , bloody daft idea

we'll just have to see what happens when they all come back from this weekends shows

mmmmm devon porn

Definitely my favorite Devon out there! i cant believe its forsale  , i would have started saving a few years ago if id known :D

GL with the sale.

just a quick question folks

after sending requested pics to several "interested parties" and answering all of their questions , is it unrealistic to expect a reply

does anyone else have the same thing happen

Not unrealistic at all, if people are just curios then say so
Love both them vans and like you I have too many toys to enjoy all at once.

Good luck and hope you get to 'keep' the 67

cheers , glad it's not just me

I've no problem at all if they just wanted a few pics for reference etc and said so in the first place
a simple "thanks for the pics" would have been nice too

yep , just too many toys
but on a mission this time to start with an empty garage

Hi, i've a 68 tintop devon with similar mileage so can really appreciate what condition that is in, time warp bus, your gunna regret it fella but good luck with the sale.

Having driven this van I can assure you that it handles & performs like a dream.
I have driven many stock vans in the past but this felt like one should do.

The interior is so period and also fitted with an original devon tow bar, Deluxe clock & Ambulance fans.

   better go and check my garage

it's just got a whole lot worse

I was just about to say I was keeping it after all

but last night I went to look at a "motor" and it's a must have one

so if you were sitting back waiting for me to drop the price , it's kinda paid off

new asking price £13,950 for a very short time

for me this bus is like the holy grail, a perfect devon 8) . If i wasnt in the middle of a house move i would snap it up. TTT for a cracking bus

thanks for the kind words

but as no one seems to have the money or a temtping p /ex deal

or have you

I'm seriously thinking about changing it to a minibus interior and a nice set of wheels
all stuff that can go back very easily
