1970 VW Devon Caravette, Great stock condition, used regularly ,kept in garage for last 19yrs. Lots of the original interior, walk-through, campervan, with vintage drive-away awning.
I have owned this camper for 19yrs. It had a significant restoration and professional oven re paint in 2011 and it has been garage stored since. I have tried to keep it as original and stock as possible.
All receipts for work, parts and MOT since 2003 available, plus MOT certificates and some receipts back to mid 1990’s confirming mileage.
This is a great example of an early bay camper
Engine:
Unleaded 1600 engine: The refurbished unleaded 1600engine was professionally fitted in 2004 and has only done 12,000 miles since (as evidenced on MOT certificates) very reliable and is running well.
New Alternator and electric ignition +distributor cap ,rotor arm ,garage fitted 2017.
New Starter motor 2018 , new battery 2018
New carburettor . and fuel pump.
New Bosch ignition coil and new HT leads. Has Leisure battery, 600w 240 Converter / double 3pin socket inside cupboard.
Recent Service and oil change. Very clean dry engine.
Inside:
Original Devon Caravette Coldstore, Wardrobe, overhead cupboard, cupboard for stove, storage and removable table.
Rock and roll bed with storage space beneath.
Brand new rear cushions / bed base in period design/ leatherette
Body:
£1000's spent on professional body restoration in 2011; (receipts available)
Re painted to a high standard in the original 1970 VW Brilliant Blue L50H.
Solid doors with opening quarter light windows, and opening Devon louvre windows in the side window.
New set of Westfalia chrome wheel hubs.
This is a very reliable vehicle .. It has been to many VW shows, used for weddings, proms, camping, and filming.
