As promised these are the measurments of my original 1968 front childs bunk.
For the Support bar (these are what the whole bunk rests on next to the cab doors)
L-1120mm, W-310mm witrh a U shaped gulley with the depth of 20mm. They fit to the van with two brackets, the one in the front window is an L shaped one just to rest on. The one sited just below the seat belt is L shaped again however this one has a spike for the support bar to fit over the top. see below. The measurment from the hole to the end of the bar is 1042mm.
The actual bunk is made up from two poles L - 1485mm with a diameter of 90mm. these are connected with folding centre bars L -546mm. these are all connected by the use of nut and bolt.
The whole bunk just sits on the support rails leaving enough clearance away from the steering wheel.
Please note that the support bars are actually fitted upside down in this picture. It had been a long day!
If anyone know where I can get the material to match this so I can get all three bunks recovered I would love to hear.
Hope this helps
Rob
