1968 Panel van

[Portdale]

Hi folks.

I've acquired this van and was just wondering what it was worth or if its rare ect. ect.
don't know much about them but could just do with some info.
all I know is that its:
1968 RHD
1600 stock engine
no other mods apart from cosmetically
got a fur lined interior

By no means do I know anything but wen I've seen vans for sale there been in the 6-8k range

Indicator lights are in the front bumper.
hasnt got an mot and hasnt had one for about six years. But been stored in a dry garage all that time.
the fur inside is fake.

As far as I know its a uk van yes. looks like it according to the log book.
Thinking of taking it to one of the shows to see what interest I get.

I never noticed the late bay grill , that's another thing people would be put off by....

a newbie who doesn't know better would by your buyer I'd imagine.
Or If you find someone (or they find you) who specifically wants a very early rhd panel , not much options on the market

Thanks for your input folks, much appreciated. I wouldnt know about stuff like the grille but its worth noting thanks. So does anyone know what I should price it at if I take it to a show to sell? I know I havent given much info but just a rough ball park figure would do. The earlier post said between 6k and 8k. Does this sound about right? I will be getting it MOT'ed before I take it anywhere too.

I think you could start at 8k & be prepared for a bit of haggling.... if it doesn't have any other hidden surprises
