hi all I have a 1969 tin top microbus for sale , its lhd and has come from the dry state of oregan usa. we originally sourced the bus after months of searching and didn't realise exactly how solid and original she was at first but we later found out on good authority that the bus was kept pretty much dry stored in a barn for years. we have had a few people look at the bus and they are all under the impression that the motor is the original one and that it may only have covered 70 odd thousand miles, we have paid an auto electrician to fit uk lights and lenses ready for an mot and it obviously has faded paint and the owner in the states has at some point thought about a resto job as there is primer on the bus. I have stuck some wooden floor in the bus to tidy it up and some fresh curtains and its just about ready to go. it will require a new screen and seal although there does not seem to be any major signs of rot anywhere .
I would like to post pics up but am not sure how to do it so cant at this point but am happy to send via phone,
due to personal circumstances we are selling our 1969 bay window tin top microbus deluxe with what is quite possibly a 70,000 1600 twin port motor which has been checked as a tight motor.., all opening quarter windows work perfect as do the lights on the dash , even the dimmer function still works . anyway we are open to sensible offers for the bus . from what we can see it has all the proper trim but not the original headliner , its been put in and the middle bench seat is not there , yet the spare wheel cover is and the dash is also in very good condition.
all in all left as is or with a new paint job this could be some ones dream bus for sure. we are open to sensible offers and although we have not registered it yet we have paid all the import duties as required
