any help would be grateful

Thanks

Hi not sure if this will help or hinder

but here's mine 1971 RHD

lights on right hazards and wipers on left

I couldn`t believe that I actually had to go and have a look at where everything was on mine, I just couldn`t think what was on the right of the steering column  :? Mine is a 1970 RHD and was originally a panel van. From the nearside it is similar to the one above, it starts off with from the left we have hazards then wipers then lights. On the right of my column is another light switch that I didn`t really know was there, I sort of recognised it then I thought `Well I wonder what this one does` it has a wire or two coming from it but doesn't seem to do anything, it`s not got a dimmer function like my regular light switch but looks identical and only has one pull out notch unlike my light switch that has two,, so :? :? :? As far as ciggy lighters, I don`t think many of these had one as standard if any at all, mines had a hole drilled to the left of the ash tray and I think that`s where most ended up as an aftermarket afterthought. Had a look at a couple of books I had, Bentley etc but nuffink to report I`m afraid.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,, Ejector seat maybe ???? :? ;) :?

On the ` Baywatch ` thread, there is a picture of that original 68 early Devon and that has the light switch on the right as well, but I can`t see anything to the left of the steering column.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,, Wish I could do that linky thingy

Hello. Will get a pic tomorrow of mine. Mine is a '69 early RHD Devon from left to right looking out of cab it goes, hazards, wipers headlights, steering column, then to the right is one switch for interior lights. Cheers Tam

So that would be why nothing happens when I pull that switch then, because I haven't got much of an interior and I know I don`t got any interior lights, best not pull that switch no more because I don`t know where the end of that wire is

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Everyday is a school day
