Up for sale is my VW - lovely restored, no rust 1.6 Early Bay Window imported from California (got the CA title to prove) just over 5 years ago. I've owned it just over a year now.

Just a refresher in the details of this lovely 1969 VW T2...

1969 VW Bay Window Camper Van – Fully restored

Imported from sunny California just over 5 years ago this early LHD Bay Window has a very good, solid body and is rot-free underneath too obviously due to most of its life being spent in the non-rusting climate of the west coast of the USA

Thousands were spent on bringing it up to its current standard – the bodywork and paint are stunning and mechanically the 1600cc pulls very well, benefitting from the fitting of new Twin Weber Carbs’ just last autumn.

A gearbox treatment was done at the same time too and the gears shift very well and the handbrake is perfect. The VW has drum brakes all around and they perform very well - more than adequate!

The interior is beautiful and looks to be in new condition – including

New pop-top canvas with unzippable mosquito net, new upholstery on all seats in lovely half beige vinyl/fabric with matching piping, rock and roll bed, storage unit, brand new sink (electric pump operated) and combined gas stove unit, new hardwearing flooring, fold away table, buddy seat (with seatbelt too and storage underneath seat), LED spotlights, new headlining and seatbelts on all seats! New Leisure battery with consumer unit should you wish to hook up to 240v at camp-site. It also has a battery monitor to see how charged (or flat) the leisure battery is. The driver and passengers floor area has new rubber matting.

The tyres have very little wear on them (about 200 miles)

Gas Bottle is practically full

Bad points are few…
Very small oil leak but I have spoken to numerous owners and apparently this is “normal”
The sunvisors could do with updating

Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances, the VW has to be sold.
Absolutely no 3rd party sellers – not interested and no trades.

This VW is spotless!!!
VW will come with new MOT if you want (for piece of mind)

I also have a 12v to 240v Power Inverter that runs from the Leisure Battery which means you don't have to rely on a camp-site hook-up to power up your laptop, DVD player, low wattage kettle etc. Great for "freestyle" camping!

I have over £25,000 invested into this van - looking for low 20s

Beautiful VW T2 Campervan - took it out yesterday deep in the Glens of Angus Scotland and it drove brilliantly.

Unfortunately due to personal circumstances, it still has to go.

Price drop too!

As you can see from the photos this is a really lovely van and I know photos can hide a lot of issues a lot of the times but in this case - what you see is what you get. The paintwork is really outstanding and the interior is new, absolutely beautiful and the seats are very comfy!
