Rare 1971, tax exempt, early Bay VW Campervan, permanent high top and original Devon interior.Ready to drive and enjoy, MOT’d (to rigorous N. Ireland standards) until Oct ‘16. Very reliable 1600cc engine starts first time, every time. Alternator replaced in 2010. Two new ball joints fitted in Oct ‘15. Four seat belts, including new rear belts in ‘11.
4 berth, incl. a double bed and two bunks. Bunk fabric needs replaced, but all new materials, including new covers, will be supplied within price. 240v electrical hook-up installed. Stow-away table allows four to dine comfortably. Additional small table also. Small sink and cool cupboard. New curtains fitted this summer, thermo-blinds also included in price. Drive-away awning, with 2-person inner tent, also included in price. Additional van-length sun/rain canopy also included. New CD player.
Extensive welding done underneath (approx. £700 worth), sprayed with waxoil (additional drum of waxoil will be incl.) Needs attention to front panel and to guttering and body work above rear door – priced accordingly. We haven’t sprayed over anything, or used any filler, so no nasty surprises – what you see is what you get.
Other extras include: dust cover; gas heater; hook-up cable; Haynes manual and restoration manual.
