1971 Westfalia California bus
Rock solid California bus in Chianti Red , it comes with documentation all the way back to the first owner a military man based in Belgium, he bought the bus in Brussells in 1971 and shipped it back to California when he returned to the states, there are California registration cards dating back to 1976 , there are also a complete set of manuals with service stamps from a VW dealer in Brussells , it also comes with the original blue California plates.
All around the bus is very solid, no rust thru anywhere to be found , the bus runs very good it was tuned 2 months ago , transmission works fine does not pop out of gear, front shocks and tires were recently replaced, brakes work all around like they should.
The Westfalia interior is gutted , it is missing all the furniture and the upper plywood ( Clean slate), front seats are there but need new covers.
This is your chance to install a brand new modern or custom interior to a very solid shell.
There are a few minor dents on the body but nothing major, the worst being on the slider door, the bus is showing big time patina, leave as is or apply a fresh coat of Chianti.
There is an upper cot mechanism not installed but included that needs canvas replacing, the poptop roof needs a canvas too.
Front windshield is cracked and will need replacement.
Price is 4750 GBP or best nearest offer.
