fitting up time. this is always hard trying not to chip or scratch the paint, especially when working on your own.







 
tyres off rims and away for blasting. now to paint them.

back sides painted



face side painted original silver and lacquered





 
as this is staying standard, a new set of whitewalls fitted. size 205 75 14s

doors fitted too.









some shiny bits added now all the long task of colour sanding and buffing done.















 
the deluxe trim was all in great condition, but missing a rear corner piece. managed to score a battered one off ebay, but the problem was once straightened and the scores polished out it had taken all the factory coating off, so the decision was made to sand off all the factory coating and polish all the trim. a long and fiddly job but worth it.





onto the electrics now, a few previous bodges to sort, gonna be a lot of long days.







 
The front/rear door lights. They indicator activated or just sidelights (lowbeam). Like the look of them.

front doors are just reflectors but if you got the correct (rear) backings i suppose you could make them into indicators or side lights, rear corners are side lights.
 
Look pretty good. I see if i can get a set and wire them up. Cheers
