Ive decided after a lot of consideration to go for a Lpg conversion {due to be done in April ) together with a Khyam autodome tourer awniing (erects in 15 mins) .The idear is to make the van as usable as possible ie cost and space wise . What do you think money well spent or what ? Chris

I looked into the lpg and decided that the miles I'd need to cover to recoup that money was ridiculous infact when you account for the extra servicing it needs then it wasnt really saving anything...that said you are doing your bit for the green aspects..bare in mind the current cost is only a temporary measure and when/if the tax is raised to that of normal fuel ouch....that said if you live in/around london you get around the congestion charge so theres potentially a huge saving....

The Kyham a good useable choice....

Current cost of LPG conversion is £1010 , and 52p a litre. I dont think servicing is anymore expensive than nomal, I worked it out that I would break even after 18 months as mine is a daily driver. Also because I live right down in Cornwall anywhere else in the country is a long journey.
