20lt to a 1600

Hi all

Put a deposit on a 70 Westy with a 1600SP, my last bay had a 2ltr T4 engine and it was in no way spritly (altho carrying a Viking roof!)!

Surly the 1600 cant be any less powerful!!?? The Viking struggled even at the sight of a hill, altho that said we were loaded up, having 2 young kids, and im not convinced the Solex's altho refurbed were the greatest.

What are your thoughts.........

Mine is a 1972 1600 with a viking roof. Dont have much power issues just dont get to places very quick.

The only problem i get is when i hit Telegraph hill, south of Exeter

Never had probs with my T4 in my last bus....

My 1600TP was pulling fine before i put her in the paintshop. Set up properly she should be ok then again what were you making the comparison to??
