4 large springs for my pop up - where do they go?

Hi all.

We found 4 large springs in a bag with a sticker on relating to our pop up. I have no idea where they go. There was also a kit for putting in a red skylight thing which all comes as a package from JK.

Does anyone have some pictures of their pop top showing these springs in situ if they are actually meant to be there?

Those springs are inside the four extending struts holding the roof up when extended
JK supplied uprated springs with the Devon roof cap package, have you got one of those ?
couldn't find a decent pic of struts in action

Yep, that'll be them then. Guess mine need replacing as we have to lift the roof rather than any form of pop, lol.

I'm sorry but those springs only hold it in the "up" position, it won't elevate on its own
Why I queeried the roof cap is it added so much weight to the roof the original springs
were not strong enough
so if your roof goes up & pulls the bellows up firmly & needs to be pulled down its ok
to leave as it is
