Hi All,
I am in the process of looking for an early bay at the moment and am trying to read up to further my knowledge as much as possible. What I have heard is that very early bays have a unique rear end (rear body), which is very hard to get replacement panels for or nigh on impossible, although looking through the books I have by Lawrence Meredith etc. I cannot find any information on this, and all the literature would suggest 1968 - 1971 rear ends do not vary.

Can anyone shine any light on this?

Thanks in advance,

James

68 to 71 rear ends are pretty much the same and you shouldnt have any problem getting parts on here, there are plenty of good traders who can supply rust free cuts, panels and even complete rear ends. The 72s have the later, big vent, big light rear corners which are probably easier to get hold of but as a rule everything is available ;)

68-71 ressemble a late model a late model splitty, 72-79 have big rear lights, smaller decklid. gurder bumpers from 73 onwards
