68/69 white dash - ashtray question

I was looking at my commercials brochure and noticed that the vehicles pictured had white ashtray faceplates, without the gear change diagram. I had assumed they were black face plates, with either a decal or in my case, the diagram was stamped on it.

What's the correct way - plain white & stamped diagram, white with the diagram decal black with a white diagram decal??

don't know the definitive answer mate, but my 69 is white OG painted dash with black ash tray & gear decal. I assume its original, the Dormobile dash plaque is still in place and un mutilated,also I can't see the old guy I bought it off changing it.

My '69 dash is/was body colour with black ash tray and gear decal. Dormobile dash plaque also still there.
