68 wiper arms

hi, could somebody tell me if 67/68 wiper arms are handed or both the same?

yes,i purchased what i thought to be a nos arm.but its shorter and i have now found it lays the other way :?
the base is perfect though,could the thin arm part be swaped with a later one?

AFAIK the difference between the early and late arms is the way they attach to the spindles. It sounds as though you have the wrong arm, possibly from a beetle as they were shorter.
