68 YMCA Bus

Wanted to introduce my new bus. Picked it up today and am well chuffed. 1968 Savannah Beige Delux Microbus. Original paint, which looks the business and some great patina. It even has the faded sign writing on one side when it was owned by the YMCA in a previous life.
The interior is all stock and has the original micro bus seats. My plans are to keep the interior as it is and to keep the great paint and patina, no spray jobs on this one.
The short term plans are to work on safety. Seat belts in the back for my kids, fire tech in the engine bay and porsche 944 discs on the front. Long term plans are SLAMMING IT.

I managed to track down through the samba the bloke who found my bus. Plan is to keep the interior as it is. Keep it as a microbus and add z bed hinges to make a bed.

Keep the original paintwork.

Lower the front on a 4 inch narrowed beam. Rear turned 1 spline and set up on adjustable spring plates.

Thanks Adm. I got lucky finding this bus. I think it will look the business lowered. Will post up progress as it takes shape.

My bus is now a lot easier to get in and out of thanks to it being much closer to the ground.
