If its 5 inch between your chassis fixing holes, then its a later beam you need ..

.. hence the 70 will fit ok! :D :D

Hilly

is that 5" on the new beam as I see in your info your year of van is 68 which I'm now assuming is a year of build not model in which case it will be a early bolt pattern therefore wont fit.

It's 5" between the holes on the beam that I've been offered.

My van is a 1969, mistyped when I registered but need to look at changing it :? Date of reg'n is Sept 1969 so I guess that the beam would fit.

Thanks for your help fellas :)

Ah see now it deepens its registered sept 69 so that could mean its a 70 good then it will fit but it could also mean its a 69 bad cos it wont fit, what model year is it?

Are we talkin M codes here?

Just been and measured the gaps - now there is a 5" gap between the top mounting holes and about 7" gap between the bottom ones on my van......

Does this help :?

you'll see the bolt paterns on page two the plates have 6 holes on an early bay the top 4 are used on a later bay the 4 corners are used.

the model year is in the chassis number and M plate

Right Dude,

Just had a look at the M code plate and the serial number is 219232869 - guessing the 869 is aug 1969.

Thanks for the info, from the diff in my measurements between the top holes and bottom holes (ie. 2") it's. looking like I'd be using the four corners not the top four holes on the plate.

I've given the measurements to the guy who's selling the beam so I'll wait to see what he comes back with.

Thanks for you help buddy :D

Matt
