Does anyone know how to remove the rod that goes through the chassis rail which is part of the accelerator linkage?

If it's the same as my one it's in 3 parts. there should be a roll pin at each end of the larger diameter centre section - you need to get those out and the 2 ends will pull out (eventually as they will prob be rusted in!!)

Thanks, I can see that the one on the inside of the chassis next to the brake master cylinder is going to be a bitch...

Take the roll pin out of the end that's on the outer side of chassis, I then heated cleaned and sprayed that end up an prised it off, then pulled the rod out through the inner side of chassis with the inner end still attached, hope thus helps!
