Photo's of the result this afternoon, but I'm happy how it turned out. Especially because I did the welding myself after I didn't weld anything for years!

You got skills , I have to learn how to do this kinds of projects and stop paying someone else to do them for me.
What sort of seam sealer do you use ?

Nice Westy mate ,i love when looking at westy projects how we all have to do the same little common faults i.e seat belt mounts lol

keep the piccys comming

It's been a while, but it's not that I haven't done anything! Interior is back in and my misses made new curtains. :D

I've bought a louvred window which I have to clean before it can go in and we also had a couple of nice days with the bus. We went to the beach with some other bus-owners:

And 13th-15th of May was the annual Dutch Baywindow clubweekend:

I still have some small jobs to do, but I hope to start the lowering soon!

Oh yes, and another thing! The main reason I sold the other bus for a Westy actually... We are expecting another little one this year! 8)

I've test driven my Red9 2-4" EZ-rider coilover kit this summer holidays and I absolutely love it! :D

In our search for nice weather we went over the Austrian Alps to the Trasimeno Lake in Umbria, Italy. 8) A total of almost 3500km's without any problems, except for a small leak in the exhaust.

Here are 2 photos already, more to follow later.

At the Austrian Fernpass:

I've got the ezi kit to fit to my bus. It's gathering dust in my garage since I brought the bus. Did you have any issues fitting yours? Any tips and how long did it take.

No real issues, only the center grub screw of the upper axle tube is a bit hard to reach. It might be easier to remove the first part of the shift rod (I hope you understand what I mean). I managed to fit everything within 6 hours and I didn't rush.

Allright, we're back for already a while now so it's time to put up our holiday report. :D

The initial destination was Germany, somewhere between Heidelberg and Neckarsulm...

It was pouring when we left:

But the kids were allright:

Short stop somewhere in Germany:

It wasn't raining at that moment, but later it started to pour again, so we decided to head for Italy to the campsite where my parents in law were staying. We just wanted nice and sunny weather! 8)

We drove on to Breitenthal, just south of Ulm where we got a nice spot on the camping:

We packed the next morning, again with rain... At that time I really had it! So through some tunnels...

...and the Alps...

We stayed 10 days at this campsite and had one afternoon with rain. The rest of the days the weather was great!

On the way back home we stopped for the night in Ora in Nothern Italy:

The following day we drove to Speyer in Germany. Whe we arrived it was raining again. There is a Technical Museum where I wanted to go to for a while now. The day we visited the museum it was very warm and sunny!

Some photos of inside:

The imho best part of the collection, the space exposition, was located in a separate building. Highlight was the Russian space shuttle Buran:
