Bollocks! Main bearing on flywheel end seized so does anyone know someone who knows what there doing when it comes to Align bore and crankshaft reface in West Yorkshire Tar

John is spot on, you will need to ship everything as he is remote, but worth it for the piece of mind of using someone who wont mess it up.

Try speaking WDrake in Bradford. They are supposed to be some of the best in the area. Not sure if they work on VW engines though. If they do they will know how.

Cheers Guys, I was hoping to use a AD case set I had given but having pulled that in bits I realise why its absolutely trashed not sure whether to bother with the AS case either as the castings are a bit **** so it maybe I may have to 'bite the bullet' and maybe buy a new engine :shock: Any ideas who is the best to get in touch with?

Get in touch with 'the gate keeper ' on forum . He has a few cases along with complete engines.
