First things first

The £55 deposit you pay on the Alt? will they take a Gen in return?

Why is it cheaper to buy all the bits seperate rather than as a bundel, sort of defeats the object.

Wont the Alt fit on a Standard Alt/Gen stand?

Why do you need a new fuel pump

Also isnt having an internal regulator a problem, ie if the reg goes for any reason your Alt is goosed.

Need help before i buy on monday

The surchase is release when you return another alternator not generator.

The pedestal is a different shape to a generator one, so needs to be changed.

Depending on what fuel pump you are running, it might foul the new alterantor.

The rehulator is a set of diodes that can be changes in situ for about £20.

The other thing they don't tell you is the standard carb linkage on the right, that makes the accelerator pump move can foul on the new alternator too.

There is a little trick you can do if you find an old 1300 carb, you can reverse the linkage to clear. It's near impossible to explain, but I have done it many times.
