some guy on vzi has built a bus with one in. they turn the wrong way so req a lot of work to fit. i looked into fitting a 1962 corvair turbo engine. 180bhp but thought it was a lot of work and no spares in the uk

It's Dangerousdave1972 on JK that's got a corvair engine, he's probably the guy to talk to if you've got any questions.

Dave is a mate of mine and I watched him put this motor together. It is awesome and sounds great! Fuel injected with a megasquirt too.

Unfortunately he has a slight problem with it at the moment with it throwing a pushrod twice but I don't expect it will be long before its back and running again. I haven't spoken to him for a couple of weeks so I don't know any more.

He is not on here though as his is a late bay. (Sorry for the bad language there!! ;) )

He also had plans to supercharge it too with a calculated 400BHP on full chat!! That would be something else!!

Building a stock corvair is something I am considering for next year myself. 140BHP would be enough for me!
