anyone running small mirrors

I'm toying with the idea of fitting small round mirrors to the top of the doors....
Has anyone done this and what's the visibility like?

I still have the original factory fit mirrors and they are not the best due to their size on my bus. In fact, being LHD, changing lanes or joining a dual carrigeway is a monumental nightmare, scary as hell! The westy wardrobe doesnt help, that may well be going in time. There is no way I would go for smaller mirrors, but that is just my old man pipe smoking opinion!

ive had all sorts of mirrors on my busses and you just cannot beat the factory mirrors, in fact im currently converting my doors back to factory style after welding them up a few years back :shock:

Ive a large fisheye that almost fills the standard mirror on my L/H Westy that improves things a lot, no way would I go smaller infact Ive been toying with the idea of fitting US type truck mirrors.

Ive got smaller mirrors fitted, look much better and can still see behind me fine. Like all mirrors whatever the size they have got to be set up right.

Nice, what mirrors are they? Are they standard on some other car/van or where they made to fit?
Have been thinking of changing my mirrors as the passenger side 1 really needs a new glass
