Ok, long story, 1641 on twin ict's been running nicely for 2 months, a bit of trouble hot starting, have to depress pedal and crank engine a few secs before engine splutters into life and runs ok then. I noticed for some reason that the oil level had appeared to rise, over the last 2 months, thought nothing of it until i had low oil pressure when engine ticking over when hot. It turns out that petrol has been leaking into oil, so i've changed fuel pump and oil and all is now ok, but with the van sometimes being difficult to hot start, pulls really, well, but the question is it likely that the carbs could be at fault???,
Any advice appreciated,

James.

I know a hot start has always been an issue, it happens with my 1641 with a single carb. But thats all I know :D

Whats actually happening on a hot start, is it turning over freely or does it sound laboured?

Busses have a known Hot start issue centred around the starter motor and the distance /route to ignition switch and battery....
