When I bought my Westy 4 years ago this thing was knocking about loose underneath the buddy seat.....

I still can't work out what it belongs to or if its a non VW part.

Anybody got a clue????

Isnt it the flap that stops you getting grease on you off the top runner section of the sliding door?
 
As Clem has said looks just like that very part.

no i mean the the trim that fits over the roller on the top of the sliding door

I think you mean the top roller cover thing. It clips on and then theres a white peg that goes in the side to prevent it been knocked (I think)
