ok. so i'm walking along a dirt road in france, and come to a river ford thing. pretty big river, about waist deep, for some reason the road goes through it. there's a middle aged topless lady in it, washing. can't explain that. i say hi, she looks offended that i saw her boobs. i'm like whatever, you're topless on a public highway, don't get all modest now, it's entirely your fault that you have no top on. anyway, i walk off to the right (river's on my left) and wander along... really quite nice, there are some trees on the right of me, it's a bit grassy, and the river turns into some kind of crazy sepia canal. i'm ok with that, it's a nice warm day.

come across a wider bit of canal, and on the other side of the widened canal, which has a marina mooring bit there's a pontoon along the edge of the river, with half sunken river cruisers moored up. still in sepia. also, there are a load of dusty cars and motorbikes on the pontoon, including what looks a bit like an early bay.
somehow (i think i swam) i end up on the pontoon, checking out this early bay. my father's with me now, somehow. we push a motorbike out of the way because obviously, we've decided to "rescue" the poor bus. push it up along the pontoon onto land, que end of act 1.

act 2 takes place on a crossroads outside a french bistro, with an imposing churchy looking building on the corner opposite. i think it was the building that the guys in the italian job brought the gold truck to load up their minis. certainly looked like that, anyway. my father tells me he's going to sort out some paperwork so we can take the (stolen) bus home, and i go and check it out. it's in the churchy building. i get in, and discover that the van is a kind of stony pink colour- not too offended by that, but it looks a bit small. not tiny, but about 80% of the size that it should be. i'm pretty concerned by this, but i get in, and it's actually pretty huge. like 120% of normal size. start it up and move it around the "room", but i'm thinking it's got very little power, so i go around to the back to check it all out.

get up to the engine hatch- i get confused. i have to open it with two thumbs, as it's too small to open with my man-hands. begin thinking that something's not right here. i'm pleasantly surprised, once the hatch is open, to discover that there's a pair of tiny 34icts on the engine- less impressed to when i find that the tinware screws are the only thing the right size, and the engine is only the size of my thumb. i pull my head away from the engine hatch, and discover that the damn bus is only a foot tall.
i meet my father outside and am forced to tell him that the bus he helped push along a canal has turned into a childrens toy, and can't help wondering if he knew that all along, and was just playing along for the sake of my sanity. he suggests bringing the bus home anyway, but i'm not taken with the idea of transportation that i can carry around with me, and also don't want to run the risk of not getting through the door, even if it is a tardis inside.

i then had another dream about blowjobs, which was great.

so, on reflection, the moral of this story is threefold-

1. never buy an early bay from france.
2. i am far too much of a materialist if i'm dreaming about owning a van that actually drives, even if it is only a foot tall.
3. based on point 2, i really need to get some more work done on my bus before i go completely mental.

did you by any chance also come up with the concept for the Foo Fighters 'Everlong' video
