what do you guys use in the awning for light, assuming you have no hook up.

have lost the charger for my what was a fairly poor lamp, but have 3 tilley lamps 1 of wich is serviceable, what do you use.

We had one of these until we sold it with a business. Tempted to get another althought it has gone up a tenner and if anything may be a bit too bright!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006FIWOZ0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Runs off 240 or 12v and just clips on to the poles

Wind up lamp?

Rechargeable led work light?

Candles?

They all work for me.

We've got an old Tiley lamp, acts as a nice little heater too [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]
Is it safe using a tilley lamp in an enclosed space? We have one but I always thought I'd get gassed out in an awning!

a properly functioning Tilley lamp is pefectly safe in a properly vented tent/awning.

i have three tilleys but space is a thing on this trip as we are tenting it with the car not the bus (as she is still under resto) and finding a decent rechargeable lamp that you can actually see by is seeming epic.

Bought a 24LED one from blacks, tried it in a dark room........well if i rubbed a balloon hard enough i would probably get more light. certainly would not be able to read by it.... :roll:

ive got a UPS (uninterruptable Power supply), charge up before leaving, will run a lamp for ages, perfect for weekend camping.
