backing plates drum brakes (front)

Van failed MOT today
(both sides front) Brake back plates securing device excessively deteriorated, this is what it said on failure sheet.
Questions;
1) can I weld them?
2) where can I get new ones or nos ones?
3) How much should I pay?

Any help or advice on this subject would be gratefully received.

I've got a complete beam here drum to drum you can have for £20 if you collect from Silverstone!

I had to replace mine too,I couldn't find new ones or repro ones anywhere.Good second hand ones will be you best option.

ive 2 front brake backing plates £10 posted??

got my backing plates from gfs but that was rear drums for £20 dont no if thats any good to you

I've just stripped the brakes and got the back plates out and mine have small holes too I'm afraid.
