beetle question

does anyone know the height of the 1970 ish beetle oval air filter from carb mount flange to top of the dome? will it fit in 8 inch gap?

If this is the type you mean (69 1200 beetle) then it's 5" max height

Hi Nick, its the oval version, but it looks the same construction as your photo so 5 inches looks a good number
