Mine did have a middle belly pan but it was pretty knackered so if I do put one on, it'll be a new one I think.

Prefer the idea of it being bolted, rather than welded but this one doesn't seem to do that job, as needs to be welded on.

Where can you get the bolted ones from...?

Too my (limited) knowledge you have to do it your self. There was somewhere I was reading where he did it. Here - http://www.specialpatrolgroup.co.uk/spooky/sills/ns/ns.html although I've not read further in to it at the moment.

Doesn't that one on JK look too small? Although I spose it isn't as it says between front and rear cross-members.

This one looks like it has bolt holes...

Thought I would update this.

I went and did a walk around the van with it on the ramp with my friendly local welder and I feel quite encouraged.

Basically, he is going to fit new outriggers and jacking points on the four corners and of course, sills.

But with the rest, he will fabricate panels to repair the chassis rails, cross members and the lower front arch steps and inner front valance. I was thinking that a lot of the panels would need to be replaced altogether but it seems not, which makes it a bit cheaper.

I am confident in the fact he will do this well as he did some quite extensive welding on the same bus for me in 2006 and we went back to look at it all and it was all still solid!

He has a queue at the moment but will get started in a month and attempted to do the work in about ten days all in.

The only think I am thinking about now is whether to bolt on a middle belly pan when it is done. I'm tempted not to but maybe I should as a strengthening panel, given that the bus is a Devon pop top...

Maybe I will have a glimmer of a summer in the bus after all!!

Thats GOOD NEWS!
Glad to hear that you have been able to press on with getting your bus sorted! :D

Cheers mate. Thanks for your words of encouragement along the way.
