For sale is our early bay Westfalia in immaculate condition having been fully stripped back and restored by Johnson Autoworks. This is a heart wrenching sale but there is a move to Australia on the cards for my wife and I, therefore the sale is unfortunately necessary.
History
Originally from France, our 1969 early bay Westfalia was found in a barn in the Belgian Alps. She had been used for some time by local snowboarders as their accommodation & as the French don’t put salt on their roads like us Brits, she was already in rock solid condition. She was found and brought to the UK where she has been fully stripped back, restored and rebuilt by by Johnson’s Autoworks (pick up almost any copy of Camper & Bus and you’ll see evidence of the quality of their work). There is a thick file of original Belgian paperwork and Johnson’s paperwork, along with photographs of before and during the restoration work. With a clean history she is a solid bus with not a hint of a nasty repair, having always been fastidiously looked after by us where she lives in a heated, dry garage year round. She is a show winning bus and has been featured in 6 page spread in VW Camper and Bus magazine as well as being shown at Volksworld Show and various other VW shows around the country. She is for sale along with a profitable wedding hire business that my wife and I have set up and run for the last two years (more info on this below) and you could choose to continue if you wished.

Weddings
We run a chauffeured wedding hire business with the bus, bring for £350 for a 4 hour slot. This current financial year we have 15 weddings booked, creating an income of £5250. Expenses have been minimal as we do most advertising via our website, which we created and maintain ourselves and would be transferred to you in the sale along with all website rights, branding, local supplier contacts and merchandising if you wanted to continue with it. We have used the profit from the weddings to keep the bus in tip-top condition and bookings have grown year on year so the potential income is a great bonus for anyone looking to run a business from home with flexible working hours. We also get countless enquiries for prom hire and although we have not developed this side of the business yet, there is clearly potential for more income here too.
