Above the windscreen water reservoir is the brake fluid reservoir? yes?

Well which brake fluid for a top up? Girling ? Going to see if I have a leak as it seems to have dropped a little bit.

All the work on raising her and putting the new engine in has disturbed something!! Typical.

Now where is my Haynes manuel?

Brake fluid reservoir is behind the drivers seat in my bus, on the left side?

Depend on the year of your bus but yeah, it's either behind the kick panel or the lh seat. Dot 4 fluid is what you need too.

My 71 is behind the drivers seat, but the 72 I had before was by the water bottle so yes that will be it.

The hose has fallen off below the brake reservoir!!!

So new jubilee clip refill with dot 4 and it will be sorted?

I 've just had the whole van lifted so I wonder if it got loosened.

There feels like there is some sort of rubber gasket around the base, I need some daylight at the weekend to sus it but any thoughts.

cheers

Matt

If the hose has fallen off I'm guessing that you might have some air in the system so it might be wise to bleed the brakes too ?

If it's just the top reservoir hose that's popped off, your master cylinder reservoir won't have had air introduced to it so it'll be fine.

I would be checking out where all the fluid went though as you won't have much paint left if it's trickling about in the bottom of your front panel. Brake fluid is some nasty ****!

new jubilee clip fitted and dot 4 top up.

Washed down the pedal area with soapy water and hosed from underneath.

Just going to keep an eye on it.
