Hi Guys,

What are your thoughts about brake pipe kits available from C&C and alike? Not sure if they are kunifer pipe, but wondering if better to make your own kit up?

Take care

J

Looks like that's a steel kit, teflon coated? I can't remember what the exact coating is, but we make 'em at work for new cars. Good, will last ages- same as the OEM stuff now. Harder to bend than the copper or Kunifer stuff though, and a pain to end-form, though luckily that's already been done for you.

Hi,

I sent them an email and promptly replied they are steel. Been looking around and people seem to suggest Kunifer is the way to go though.

Take care,

Jamie

I went to local motor factors and bought the raw components and a simple cutter and former. I think it worked out cheaper and wasn't difficult. Have a go, you'll feel better for doing it your way

any idea of pipe and nut sizes please. Probably from http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cheers

Jamie

I went for one of the steel kits - bends easily with a pipe bender, enough give to bend by hand to mate things up that final few mm, and I found it nice having the pre-made sections.

I think I may do the same. From my refrigeration days I have all the flaring and cutting tools though looking at the original lines they are bubble flares which I wont be able to do.
