Just installed my new Bug-Tech bus shifter tonight and I am so pleased with it I got to share with you guys.

I think it looks awsome and after testing it tonight I can assure it works awsome aswell! It is super precise, I love it! It's a German made shifter with something like 63% shorter travel. I guess it was built for racing - I have the OG 1600sp engine, but don't laugh, it works beautifully. Driving up steep hills, I do not lose any power going from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd gear anymore :)

I have to rave about the service at Bug-Tech aswell. I wanted a slightly longer stick (don't we all...) and they even custom made me a 5cm extension! They said it would take some time to do it, but the very next day it was done and shipped out.

And to top it off, when the shifter got stuck in customs in my country for a few days, Markus at Bug Tech traced my shipment on his own initiative and contacted me when he found out. Now that is amazing customer service!

I took some crappy phone pictures tonight (below) but if I don't get the picture links to work, you can find better pictures and even a video here: http://bug-tech.de/shop/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4&Itemid=5&lang=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Do they come with a boot?? http://www.bugwelder-shop.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=2146969032&language=en&osCsid=471e425f068b77bc13fe927defb23aaa" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Nope, no boot, what you see in the pictures is how it should be :) I am so stoked, I just want to get in my bus and drive anywhere, just so I can shift gears :lol:

Type2Detectives are also selling these btw.

The look of it is growing on me more and more :?

If it performs like you say, then might be on my shopping list :D

Espen you're such a girl!! :lol:

How's things mate? 8)

Chris, you can try out the shifter yourself mate, when we get over there for Big Bang, that will convince you. It is über cool :)

Looks like we are bringing quite a crowd over there aswell, it will be The Vikings visit ver 2.0 :) Lock up your women and sheep....

By then I will have a sub-18 engine aswell, allthough my plans for the 2010 season is not very "drag racing friendly". But I want that sticker....

Can't wait for a night of girly drinks... ohh... I mean cider.... :D

Comedy Gold,

I am so Looking forward to you all visiting us for Big Bang,

Loving the look of the new shifter, will have to inspect closer, Looks a bit too tall for me, but then i do have the arms of a monkey!

Alex, the picture is taken with the custom extension on, so the shifter is not that tall originally. Without the extension, the shifter is the same height as the original bus shifter.

This piece of kit looks really good, something different from the norm. 8)

An alternative is the CSP shifter which is really high.....about an inch lower than the steering wheel.
