Hi all,
looking to buy cab carpet sets. I have OG rubber there a (except the wheel arch covers) I was thinking of the cab carpet sets from Custom & Commercial - anyone got any feed back on these - fit,quality,wear ? The C&C sets have the lip on to fit correctly.
http://www.customandcommercial.com/products.asp?Sub_Category=1219&group=61&category=418" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I do not want a mat or carpet that simply 'sits' on top of the wheel arch - I want it tucked into the factory metal lip,so I was thinking of getting the wheel arch rubber mats (from C&C) then going for Madmatz floor & walk way mat (Madmatz arch covers do not have the lip to tuck in the metal lip on the wheel arch)

any suggestions (pics most welcome) for inspiration? colour scheme will be lotus white paint,red vinyl seats,red gingham & cream evrything else.

Cheers all - Doris! :D

i got mine from NEWTON COMMERCIAL, local firm to me, all made in their own factory. Carpets are good quality, and fit the lips you describe. i think they supply vw heritage and just campers, may C&C as theirs look the same as mine, newton commercial deal direct with the public so you may be able to save a few quiid. their website is http://WWW.NEWTONCOMM.CO.UK" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks dave - have you got a close up pic of the Newton ones please?..they are advertised as close weave,whereas the C&C are advertised as luxury pile.unfortunatly, both websites don't show a close up of the pile. :?

I *think* close weave is like the stuff they put in schools & library's with lines in.

Hi I went for custom and commercial wheel arch covers. The foam backed ones in black, I also used there wrap around rubbers If that makes sense. I then got mad matz cab mat and walkthrough. Pretty pleased with all of it

sorry no pics, but you are correct the close weave is like the stuff used in schools etc, have found easy to keep clean, hoover or stiff brush. give them a call and speak to Johnny or Duncan, they may send a sample.

OK Thanks dave - may just do that!
mattd - thats more or less what mine could look like - Thanks! all the same colours.Are the red/cream piping seats original VW ?
Cheers - Rob

yeah, I think that lip is quite important,otherwise you have to glue the carpet in place - urggh,or just leave it resting in place,and as you know, it'll be getting knocked out of place all the time.

I suppose the best route is OG style rubber mats that have the lip formed in as part of the moulding.

The seats are original, but not from this van. Got them last year.

Will get some more pictures up asap. With regards to the lip i just glued mine down as was in a bit of a rush unfortunatly. This maybe a job I do again this year. Shouldn't be to hard to bend the lip up.
