We have a family weekend wedding in Devon to goto and plan to take a weeks break while were down there, the wifes family own a little holiday place in Crantock, Cornwall (about 5 mins walk from the beach) but its being knocked down and rebuilt this year SO if i can get the camper on the road can anyone recommend any camp sites, doesn't have to be near Newquay just Cornwall (or even Devon)

Hendra just outside Newquay is a nice family campsite with an indoor and outdoor pool.
If you want a field to park in but fantastic local produce (ice cream!) then check out http://www.roskillys.co.uk/
I think it was about £4 a night.

Gunvenner(very nice) near Polzeath, Harlyn Sands(not as nice but great location), Treyarnon Bay(again site only about a 6/10 but location great)
to name but 3
River Dart Country Park in Devon is great and loads for the kids to do.

Try Porth beach, that rules! very cool for kids (playpark etc) plus they have one loo of the year for the past few years! 8) about a mile or so from Newquay :D

The other one is Trencreek, a short walk from Newquay along the old train track (footpath now) really relaxed and camping amongst the trees! 8)

Devon - North Morte Farm - Mortehoe - a mile and a bit north of Woolacombe. Bay View Farm - Croyde Bay - a bit pricy but a 2 minute walk to the pub

FS 8)

at this time of year you can get away with parking up near a beach and just sleeping there in your van...don`t try it in the summer though. A lot of guys park up droskyn hill overlooking the surf at perranporth and there are literally hundresd of camping places. Like someone said earlier, trencreek is really laid back and in a nice setting

Then you can visit Newquay Dub Club at The Mermaid just opposite the camp site.
