A few years ago we stayed at a place called 'camping international ' (i think) which is on an island on the seine, didn't have a van at the time but there were some on site.
It's walking distance to an rer station so you can catch a train in to see the sights

Hi Matt,
We've booked three nights at a campsite called, 'Huttopia Versailles'.
I can't vouch for it as we're not going until July however it's out of the Cool Camping book and looks pretty sweet. It's on the doorstep of the palace of Versailles, 20mins from the Eiffel tower and very close to a train station that takes you into Paris city centre,

We stayed here. Just outside paris, but really good. You can book disney tickets at the site and also transport tickets into the city.
The site was really good, clean and friendly.

Were travelling south and staying at huttopia ramouillet about 50km from paris, you can opt of forest pitches too.

Not a campsite, but a note for anyone going to Disneyland with kids ... they allow motorhomes to stay at 20 euros per night, including a days parc parking which is 15 euros anyway.
You cant erect tents or awnings but if you can be self contained then its great and handy. There is a toilet and shower block also, provided for coach drivers I think but used by everyone. In the morning you get on the travelator to the parc entrance, or as we did the one day, on the train into Paris on the RER.
Might be useful to some?
