Can anyone help me solve a mystery with the origins of my bus please?!

So I bought my bus over here in Spain a few weeks ago. Needed to get the engine rebuilt and noticed it was a Mexican engine - not so weird as lots of replacements come from there. However the reg docs say 1984 for registration in Spain so it’s obviously an import…. But from where?!! I’ve attached a letter of vw provenence but it doesn’t say a factory. Any distinguishing features that could identify my early bay as a Latin American model or German? It is 1970 according to the documentation and is the sunroof version. This is my first early bay after having a few late bays and a jurgens so all very new to me! I’ve attached pics!

(Westy late bay pop top is a recent addition)

If you have the original vin plates there is an m-plate decoder free to use online, this will break down the vin plate and give you a lot of info.
