Carb Decisions Solex Refurb or new EMPI

So then I have found a guy on ebay called Jon from Wakefield. He refurbs Solex Carbs. Which I like the sound of. Or it's a new EMPI carb from Heritage. Question is? What's the best. I have a standard stock 1.6 engine and the current carb is an unbranded and has a leak on the throttle bush, so not worth fixing. Any comments or decent refubs guys around. TIA

Solex refurb, absolutely no contest test.

Pete Engleloz at Cogbox or Gerit Rage are who I’d use.
