Personally I like Appledore Cloudy (you get it in the West Country - but I made my own last autumn - should be ready soon - hic! looks to be about 8% so better not drive...

I find scrumpy jack is nice zider, it has a nice tangy taste and doesnt make you feel like you've been hit by a ZZledgehammer after a few cans. I took my bus to a zider festival last year, dont renember the evening but the morning was much less painfull than other folk who got zzoaked in their tents, campers rule!!!!

not drunk cider since i had 8 pints at a local club keeping up with my mates when i was 18

im 5" 4, and my mates are all 6"ish

not felt like it in 14 yrs

Scrumpy for me as well mate.

Love it!

There are some good farms around though that produce some good stuff

I'm the same as slammedresto was about 14 went to a party drank loads and then downed 2 2 litre bottles of it in a row and then honked it all back up and can't even smell the stuff now :(

artois from now on

well i have only discovered real cider in the past couple o years mmmm like it never tried that white lightening crap real stuff i like . ill bring some suffolk stuff to a meet so you south west boys can try . it probably aint hardcore enough for you tho

Got the nic name Clyder at BVF last year due to the amount i consumed, love it. I like scrumpy me self and Sailsburys and Tesco do a 3 ltr glass jar for under 4 quid. Wykes i think and bloody nice it is to. 8-9% so not to crazy. Will be bringing some to this years shows so pop over for a a little dock.

Well then...............

My fave at the moment is thatchers vintage (made in old rum barrels, so it has a amazing flavour to it) I do like straight up thatchers scrump from the barrel (the thatchers cider farm is only 5 minss up the road hence my red nose!) Chedder Valley rocks, don`t worry about the orange colour though, its all good! Remmeber though its all about your add ons. Slice of lemon and some ice (only a little bit you Magners fans!)

We have just had a barge open up down on the river in Bristol called the Apple! It sells 40+ different ciders, on tap and in the bottle. All from about 5% up to 9%. We have had our club "The Old Volks Club" Christmas drinks there and am still just getting over it 8)

Thatchers being so close is very handy so much so we have the latest craze for 2007 (just you watch at the shows!) cider barrels on the roof rack. Glider on tap! short length of clear tube and a tap. Your off!

You can see one of our club barrels on Willi76s karman!

We must get a selection of our local ciders from all over and bring them to the shows, sort of a earlybay cider sampling session! :D

I too like the Thatchers but only get to taste it when back in the West Country. London is pretty ***** for proper cider but have found some good stuff here and there. Whenever we go away somewhere in the countryside we try to source a local cider farm and get our 5 gallon barrel filled up, normallly about £30. Currently have some stuff from Norfolk!!!!

Had about 7 pints of Thatchers last night in the boozer, was quite reluctent to move out of bed this morning.

Oooo not surprised! had a skinful of Black Rat on friday night, took till sunday to recover properly

me like the thatchers vintage and any of our local devon cloudy ziders!!!!!!! devon knows how they make it so cloudy? :D
