Classic VW Garage Map

Hi,

I'm compiling a Google map of all the recommended classic VW garage repair shops up and down the country.

I thought it might be a good resource for everyone, as you never know where you'll run into trouble!

They have! I carry one around in my glove box with spare copies for whoever i meet. It is in word though.

Just added some more good people to the map in the essex/suffolk area.

The original map got hacked or lost by google. I started rebuilding the map, but miraculously found it again in a google search and I've updated the new url.

The map is no longer editable by anyone, so if you have a recommendation, please add it to the thread below and I will update it. No adverts please.

I was just having a look to see who was near me and I think that maybe the Croydon Auto Repairs Ltd. one is on the map in the wrong place. The current link on the map is near Downe rather than Croydon and googling them shows this as their address http://www.croydonautorepairs.com/contactUs.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Is this an error, there's not two of them is there?

Crazy...was thinking of doing this myself after daydreaming yesterday about what would happen if I broke down whilst travelling to/from/whilst at a holiday destination. Was thinking of even extending to countries in Europe that are often frequented by us folk I.e. Holland/France/Italy/Germany etc. Might be useful if abroad.

Not seen or heard of this for years. I’m down in Bristol so absolutely no use to you at all. Might be a good idea if you were to start a thread over in general and ask on there and maybe someone is known up that way. Might be worth doing the same on the LateBay site as well.
