Hi,

The dash' on our RHD 71 Danbury has a clock fitted to the right hand side of the speedo, but I thought that only deluxe models had the clock fitted.

Would the numbers on the M-plate (behind passenger seat) confirm anything (shown below)?

1st Line: 12 094 510 E
2nd Line: 050652 A41 191 213 543
3rd Line: 48 5 7992 EN 2240 11

NB: Our chassis number is: 2212094510

Thanks,

Mike

Hello Mike,

I couldn't find anything in my list of 'M' codes relating to the clock specific to your year, other than that the clock was optional on the Microbus (such as your bus), but standard on the Microbus Deluxe, so I guess the original owner specified it when he bought the bus.
My folk's '72 Danbury, which was based on a Kombi had a clock, but maybe my dad specified that when he ordered the van. Perhaps the dealership fitted it before he took delivery of it, rather than it having been fitted at the factory.

Somone else my be able to shed a bit more light on this. :)
