087 073 = chassis number
060651 = pastel white L90D dark beige interior
A41 = group code 020, 061, 187
020 = Speedometer & odometer in Miles
061 = Type labelling of seat mounting and ID plate for England and Ireland
187 = headlamps for countries with left hand traffic
141 = Heater outlet in rear part of cargo compartment
191 = With outer and centre underfloor plates
472 = unknown code
7527 = temporary serial number
EH = destination code for Chile (I'd check that again as its a UK van)
2340 = Kombi RHD Standard Version
11 = 1600cc 4spd

Just check the destination code as Chile seems a bit odd, could be a typo as EG is a UK code :mrgreen:

The M codes on the type 2 site are a bit tricky but it is pretty good and then helpful bods on here can fill in the gaps!

yep, production years run August to August, yours is a lowish chassis number as well so would have ben from the start of the run in 1971, the bible shows the start of November :mrgreen:

actually on a calendar basis both of us are wrong its the 44th week in 71 starts on the 25th of October so it would be tuesday the 26th.... (like a twat I read the calendar for 72 being the 24th).
week 44 always falls over the last week of october and the first week in november, due to the leap year it moves on a yearly basis and 72 was a leap year.

71 - 26th oct
72 - 24th oct
73 - 30th oct
74 - 29th oct
75 - 28th oct
76 - 26th oct
77 - 25th oct
78 - 24th oct

although some countries / religous beliefs do vary a bit as to when the week starts etc....

right first reg 14/11/1972 was white/yellow colour changed 03/03/2005 with the latest keeper. 9 former keepers. engine AD523124 chassis 2222200598. was registered as a motor caravan rather than bus/van etc. Shows standard 1600 stock engine.

more info on this one. Manufactured 1970 but not registered til 10/03/1971!! 12 former keepers, was yellow colour changed 24/07/06 last keeper change 01/03/2008. Engine AS251793 chassis 2312087073 now green/white. 1600 stock engine registered as a motor caravan. Nothing adverse on either of these ie not nicked, written off, no finance etc.

:? The M code shows it as chianti red and white and that is what it is now. How bizarre.

Edit: just remembered the owner before me was my mechanic, he bought it off one of his other customers that was going to have it re-painted so changed the document but never actually painted it! Thankfully :lol:
