Jarkko..I'm sorry if there was any misunderstanding. I genuinley thought we had a deal at £100. Perhaps if you wanted bids you should have used ebay. There are no hard feelings on my part and the apology is sincere and genuine. I cannot help what other community members may feel but they can read the thread and decide for themselves.

Reading the post i assumed that £100 obo with obo meaning or best offer which i take as nearest the original price, but below the £100.

If the intention was to sell for £100 or best offer above it should have read like that.

Thats just how i understood it. Doesn't mean im right though it's just me.

Ok, the english speaking community has spoken through the keyboards of kempy and loxy and the court of semantic law has given its verdict. I guess I owe you, Stirlingmoz, and everybody who has been reading this thread, an apology. I really am sorry. I'll just say this one thing once again, I genuinely thought OBO works both ways, down and up, and used it with that intention. The clock is now sold to another forum member. The deal was authorized by stirlingmoz. :D

Jarkko,

Lets not fall out. I have posted for sale items in the past and they were read in a wrong way.

Look it's now sold so lets just move on and forget.

Ah you see the intricacies of the english language....thats why its reputed to be one of the most difficult in europe to master...those little nuances and accents on certain wordings/phrases....were just awkward sods

 Trust me, kempy, I didn't mean to "fall out". All is forgotten now. I will try to be more accurate and transparent with my diction in the future.
