Hi all, Just thought id share what happened to me earlier so you can watch out for the same thing in future.
Jumped in my bay and started her up, reversed about 1m and could instantly smell petrol really strong.....
First thought was cut the engine and run round and check the fuel lines! (I check these before every journey and did this about a week ago)
Before I got round to lifting the engine lid I could see a puddle of petrol running from under my bus. I quickly lifted the lid expecting the worse.....on inspection the petrol was running out of my fuel filter like a tap! (im running the glass inline type that can be washed out and re-used) I clamped the fuel pipe and disassembled the filter and found the filter tube inside had come loose. I tightened it up and re fit..... now seems fine! Gonna start to carry a spare standard type and would recommend everyone carry one if they dont already!!! (Luckily I have the peace of mind of having a fire extinguisher system fitted too
