Hi - Im looking in between Taunton and Bridgewater (gonna rent for a bit and suss out the area before buying)

Any recommended places??

Cheers

Andy

Hey Andy.....

I moved down here 5 years ago from S.Wales - Where to move depends on what you are looking for.....you could live near Taunton if you prefer nearer a town or there are a load of villages around for a quieter life.....when I moved down the locals told me to avoid Bridgwater...I don't have an opinion on this as such but having played rugby against some bridgwater teams I kinda see why......

I live in a village called Cotford St Luke....its at the foot of the Quantocks, great for Mountain Biking and it seems to be growing its own little VW community......there are at least 3 EBs, 4 lates, 5 type 4s a few 25's beetles etc....... pub, shop, school etc....

it's pretty nice, parking is limited, but most houses have a garage.......I'm gonna stop now cos I sound like an estate agent.....!

Thanks for that, have also been "advised" about Bridgewater. Have been looking East of the M5 so far (Ruishton, North Curry, Hedging etc) Looking for rural spot with parking for 4 vehicles and double garage high enough to get van in (I guess my wishlist could be a bit overhopeful!!)

Perhaps see you around once I am there

Thanks again for the advice

Andy :D

No probs......we are west of M5 so maybe not your way....but yeah at some point our paths should cross, it'd be nice to build a little local EB community.....I'll probably give the Wurzeldubbers a look so will probably catch up then....best of luck with the move.
