I heard about the Cobb BBQ via another thread with Cobb owners raving about it. A few questions:
- It's obviously good for main meals but can you use it for a 'fry-up' sort of meal?
- Can it be used inside the bus or is it outside only?
- Do you have to use new coals (cobbles) for each meal?
- Does the outside get very hot or is it a twin-wall?
- What is the best model to get / what are essential accessories?

Any other observations appreciated.

I've got a Cobb, had it for about 8 years now, they're pretty good and a perfect for a roast while you're away. There are a few pics sprinkled in my gallery thread, and the Hairy Bikers used them during their first TV series.
You can use them to cook breakfasts, etc, if you get the frying pan. I use the fry dish to make curries and the like.
The cobblestones last for a couple of hours, but you can use charcoal briquettes as well.
They don't get hot externally and can be moved during cooking.
Now they do a disposable inner sleeve it makes it easier to clean, but I line the trough with foil as it's cheaper.
Not perfect in any way, but depends what you want from it.
I bought the Cobb Premier, but it looks like the current equivalent is the Premier Combo 5 set with the griddle, fry pan and fry dish.

I have a cobb, the gas version. A fry up is very do able as is most things. If you get one and go down the gas route it is possible to do a upgrade for a hotter burn to 50mb. They are sold that way in Germany so you can do away with the small gas cans and use it straight off of a big bottle. Our regs are different and only sell 30mb, so it is a bit of a faff getting the bits from Germany.
