I'm after some recommendations for a small fridge or electric cooler to fit in a new cupboard in the westy - probably 30-40 litres. I would prefer 12v/240v and not gas powered, but equally I don't want it drawing mega amps. I will be fitting a leisure battery and 240V hook-up with charger.

Some of the stuff out there seems only to cool down to 15-18 degrees below ambient.... so with the interior reaching 30+ degrees in the summer, that isn't great. Oh, and I don't want to drill holes in the side of the van.... Any thoughts on the best compromise?

Cheers,
Nick

Got myself a Waeco tropicool TC35 a while back - 12v/24v/240v & works pretty well, but may need to be careful with the battery usage, it cools to 30c below ambient.

This one here appears to be a good price:

we went for a engle marine fridge (compressor)12/240V draws around 2 amps and is the same size as the original cool box, just done 4 days playing dvd's, running lights etc with a 110amp battery no problems, we are running solar panels also but they are no way near putting the power in we are using
