After a 1hr run at speed (50mph :lol: ) if the bus then had to sit in traffic for an hour hardly moving would it over heat?

If I drive on the motorway at 50-60mph my oil temp guage would show something like 100*c If I then got stuck in an accident tailback for example the temp would drop to somewhere around 90*c...

I "believe" (possibly read somewhere once a long time ago and can make no guarantees that it is actually true) that the engine actually overcools at idle
